Client Services Agreement & Practice Policies

Welcome to Ember Within, we request that prior to confirming an appointment that you read this information as it outlines the professional services, boundaries, communication expectations, and practice policies that support a safe, respectful, ethical, and sustainable therapeutic environment for both practitioner and client.

1. Scope of Services

Services offered through Ember Within are holistic and complementary in nature and may include:
• holistic therapies
• energy healing
• somatic support
• shamanic healing practices
• meditation
• breathwork
• relaxation support
• intuitive guidance
• nervous system regulation practices
• integrative wellbeing approaches

These services are not a replacement for medical treatment, psychological treatment, psychiatric care, legal advice, crisis intervention, or emergency support services.

Clients are encouraged to maintain appropriate professional supports where required.

2. Session Length & Fees

Available appointment options include:

• 1 Hour Session — $150
• 1.5 Hour Session — $220
• 2 Hour Session — Pricing arranged prior to booking

Sessions begin and conclude at the scheduled appointment time.

Sessions do not continue beyond the allocated and paid session duration.

If additional support is required, another appointment may be booked.

3. Session Structure & Containment

Sessions are designed to provide focused therapeutic support within a clear and time-bound container.

Clients are encouraged to bring their primary intention or focus into the session and understand that not all topics may be explored within one appointment.

To support this process:
• session closure and grounding form part of the booked session time
• new emotionally intensive topics should not be introduced in the final portion of the session
• clients are expected to respect verbal and time boundaries
• sessions conclude at the scheduled finish time

Repeated attempts to extend sessions beyond agreed boundaries may result in review of service suitability.

4. Communication Between Sessions

Phone calls, emails, and text messages are intended for:
• appointment bookings
• cancellations or rescheduling
• brief practical communication only

Communication between sessions is not intended for:
• ongoing therapeutic processing
• crisis support
• daily emotional support
• extensive personal updates
• friendship-style communication

Messages are responded to within reasonable business timeframes and immediate responses cannot be guaranteed.

Messages outside professional boundaries may not receive a response.

5. Professional Relationship & Boundaries

The client-practitioner relationship is professional and therapeutic in nature.

While sessions may involve warmth, compassion, emotional support, and deep personal work, the relationship is not:
• a friendship
• a personal support partnership
• an unrestricted emotional support service
• a substitute for broader professional support systems

Healing work is intended to support empowerment, self-awareness, nervous system regulation, and personal responsibility.

Clients are encouraged to maintain a balanced support network and not rely solely on the practitioner for emotional regulation, decision-making, or ongoing support outside scheduled appointments.

6. Contact Hours & Availability

Ember Within does not provide 24-hour support or emergency care.

Messages sent outside normal business hours, including evenings, Saturday nights, Sundays, and public holidays, may be responded to on the next business day.

Clients requiring urgent emotional or mental health support are encouraged to contact their GP, psychologist, mental health support service, or emergency services where appropriate.

7. Scope of Practice & Referrals

The practitioner does not provide:
• psychiatric treatment
• legal advice
• emergency mental health intervention
• crisis management
• ongoing psychological counselling beyond scope of practice

Where concerns arise outside the practitioner’s scope of practice, clients may be referred to another appropriately qualified professional.

8. Social Media & Personal Contact

Personal social media interaction, private messaging, and informal personal communication outside professional channels are not considered part of the therapeutic relationship.

Professional boundaries are maintained across online and in-person interactions.

9. Cancellations & Late Arrivals

A minimum of 24 hours notice is requested for cancellations or rescheduling.

Late cancellations or missed appointments may incur a cancellation fee.

Clients arriving late may receive a shortened session as sessions conclude at the scheduled finish time.

10. Practitioner Safety & Service Discontinuation

The practitioner reserves the right to pause, conclude, review, refer, or discontinue services where:
• professional boundaries are repeatedly disregarded
• communication becomes inappropriate
• behaviour becomes unsafe, aggressive, or repeatedly boundary-violating
• the client’s needs exceed the scope of services offered

Appropriate referrals may be recommended where necessary.

11. Consent & Client Choice

Clients may pause, decline, or stop any technique or practice at any time.

Sessions are conducted within a consent-based and trauma-aware framework.

12. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Holistic and energy-based practices support wellbeing and self-development; however, no guarantees or promises of specific outcomes can be made.

13. Agreement

By signing below, I acknowledge that I have read and understood the Client Services Agreement, Professional Boundaries, Communication Policies, and Practice Standards of Ember Within.
