Shamanic healing brings earth, spirit and inner wisdom into relationship. Rooted in a connection with the living world, it offers a ceremonial space to explore your experiences, honour life’s transitions and reconnect with what holds meaning for you.

At Ember Within, I draw on my core & Celtic shamanic training but in particular that of my more extensive Q’ero lineage teachings, working through ritual, guided journeying, sound, breath and traditional energy practices. Sessions may focus on spiritual guidance, ancestral connections, a sense of disconnection or aspects of yourself you wish to understand and reclaim.

Each experience is shaped around your intentions, with preparation, consent and time for integration. You do not need to know which practice to request; we can explore an appropriate approach together.

Soul Reconnection & Integration

These practices explore reconnection with aspects of yourself, your vitality and your spiritual path.

Andean Healing Practices

My work includes practices informed by the Q’ero teachings and initiations I have received.

Chumpi Stone Healing

A specialised Andean ceremonial practice offered through my direct training with Maestro Alejandro Apaza, the last Master Chumpi P’aqo of the Apaza Chumpi P’aqo lineage. Working with sacred carved stones, this healing honours the Apus—the mountain beings central to Andean spiritual tradition—and the chumpi, understood as energetic belts within the human field. The ceremony centres on cleansing, healing for energetic harmony and reconnection with your own strength and presence and any soul loss that may have occurred. Offered with reverence for the teachings & for the Chumpi Karpay initiation I have received and that is required to activate the connection between you and the seven sacred spirits of the Chumpi’s. This healing provides an opportunity to experience a less widely available form of Andean healing in Australia.

7 Ñusta Healing

A sacred Andean healing ceremony working with seven feminine spirits of nature, known as the Ñustas. Within these teachings, the Ñustas carry ancient cosmic wisdom and offer healing through the K’uychiq Qanchis Ñan—the Seven Paths of the Rainbow. Rainbow ribbons form part of the ceremony, inviting kawsay, or life energy, and supporting the release of what the tradition understands as heavy energy.

This healing wisdom was passed from Don Santos Apaza to his son, Maestro Alejandro Apaza, with whom I have trained directly. Honouring this lineage, I offer Seven Ñusta Healing as a ceremonial space for cleansing, renewal and deeper connection with the sacred feminine and the living world, with time for reflection and integration.

Traditional Despacho Ceremonies

A despacho is a traditional Andean a specially arranged offering of gratitude, prayer and intention. It may be offered to mark a life transition, bless a new beginning, seek guidance or nurture balance and reciprocity, known as ayni. The completed bundle is ceremonially offered, according to the purpose and tradition guiding the ceremony. At Ember Within, a despacho creates space to honour what matters to you and enter into a sacred exchange with life.

Spiritual Guidance & Inner Exploration

A space to listen, reflect and deepen your relationship with your inner and spiritual life.

• Shamanic Counselling — conversation and spiritual exploration that may include shadow work, inner child exploration, archetypal imagery and healing practices.

• Shamanic Divination — bay leaf oracle reading or stone casting, offering perspectives for reflection and personal discernment.

• Journeying — guided exploration through shamanic imagery and spiritual connection.

• Sound Healing & Shamanic Breathwork — practices that may accompany reflection, ceremony and integration. More intensive breathwork requires a separate discussion of suitability and preparation.

Death, Transition & Remembrance

Sensitive ceremonial work honouring death and the spiritual meaning of transition.

• Psychopomp Work — within shamanic traditions, ceremony concerned with supporting the passage of the deceased.

• Death Rites — spiritual practices honouring dying, death and transition, shaped around the circumstances, wishes and consent of those involved.

How We Work Together

You may come with a clear intention or simply a feeling that something needs attention. We begin with conversation, consider your needs and agree on the practices that feel appropriate.

A session may include one focused approach or a combination of practices. There is no expectation of a particular spiritual experience, and any insights are explored alongside your lived experience and discernment.

Shamanic healing can be a standalone ceremonial experience or part of ongoing work. Time for grounding, reflection and integration is an essential part of the process.
